The Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) is designed to help newly qualified social workers in the UK to develop their skills, knowledge and capability, and strengthen their professional confidence.
Sections:
• Professional relationships - Create and maintain appropriate relationships based on respect.
• Communication - Use varied communication methods to enable participation.
• Referral - Collect, record, analyse key information and take appropriate action.
• Assessment - Use key information to assess need.
• Planning and intervention - Balance risk, needs and resources to plan person-centred interventions.
• Review - Check outcomes of plans and agree any required changes.
• Safeguarding - Balance promotion of well-being and independence with duty to protect.
• Recording and sharing information - Record practice and share information in line with statutory requirements.
• Service development - Involve and work with people and represent their views in developing services.
• Multi-agency working - Work across organisations to deliver services to people with multiple needs.
• Community capacity building - Promote social inclusion and participation in communities.
• Professional development - Improve practice and be accountable for the quality of your work.
