While the CWC is not in a position to do its usual post-budget analysis the following may be of some use to you:
Department of Environment, Community & Local Government
Community & Rural Development: -4%, cut from €165.143m to €158.658m . This funding includes supports for Community & Voluntary Sector, Local & Community Development Programme, RAPID, Western Development Commission, Rural Development Schemes, LEADAR programme.
There has been a cut of 12.6% to the LCDP budget - from €63.4m to €55.4m
Department of Education
· Adult Education: -1%, from €854m to €847m
· Drug Task Forces: -24%, from €543k to €411k
· Education Disadvantage: -20%, from €2m to €1.6m
· FÁS Training -43%, from €40.267m to €23.067m
Department of Social Protection
Community Service Programme: cut from €47.415m to €45.4m
Includes funding for Community Resource Centres, sports centres, community radio, senior citizen services, home care.
Community Employment Programme (CE Schemes) cut form €356.692m to €315.191m
These CE cuts will be to:
· Reduce the training and materials from €1,500 to €500 per participant per annum and obtain savings from supervisory costs on Community Employment schemes
· Reduce the annual cost of education allowance to €300
· Reduce materials allowance and discontinue payment of training budget for participants on Department’s Jobs Initiative Scheme.
Department of Health

Drugs Initiative: -7% cut from €33.667m to €31.475m
Includes interm funded Drug Task Force community based drug services
HSE
Cuts to regional services:
· Dublin Mid Leinster -12%
· Dublin NE Region -12%
· South Region -11%
· West Region -11%
This includes funding of mainstream programmes and projects eg drug services, community drug teams, needle exchanges, treatment and rehab.
