The National Documentation Centre on Drug Use will be running this 12 week course beginning on 3rd of March 2010. The aim of the course is to teach a group of drug prevention and education workers a range of information literacy skills which help them understand how evidence in their field is produced, how this evidence can be found and how research-based knowledge can be used to shape policy and bring about better health outcomes.
The course will comprise 7 modules and will require 90-100 hours from participants, including contact and study time. Most of the course work will be online but there will be 3 face-to-face sessions; one full day at the beginning of the course, one half day at the mid-point of the course and one half day at the end of course.
The course will end in the last week of May 2010.
