The aim of the ASAP Programme is to reduce the harm that is being caused by alcohol and drugs. This aim is already well on the way to being achieved. Since the first edition of the GAA ClubManual For DealingWith Drug And Alcohol Related Issues was released many hundreds of clubs have taken on the task of addressing this issue and have put policies and procedures in place to prevent the spread of alcohol and drug problems. The new information included in this second edition will add to the knowledge and skills being used to respond even more accurately to these issues.

The DVD, Club Matters will assist clubs further in addressing these issues and will complement the work that has already begun on the ground. This in turn will be supported by the new ASAP Programme website and the telematics projects.
