This document charts new territory for the HSE. It is the first report of its kind to map out existing health-related services, supports, gaps and actions for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community in Ireland. It gives visibility to issues which have not been to the fore in health service planning and it details key health priorities for this population group as evidenced in Irish and international research.

The report further highlights services and areas which have supported and addressed the needs of the LGBT community and identifies where gaps remain, and it clearly sets out a number of recommendations to advance the work commenced through this exercise.
